Recently NASA shared pictures of Hidden galaxy which is situated at 11 million light years away from the Earth. This galaxy is present in the constellation Camelopardalis. Another name for galaxy is IC 342, but best known as “Hidden Galaxy”
Firstly this galaxy captured by NASA’s Hubble Telescope 11 million light years away. But now this stunning image captured by European Space Agency’s Euclid Mission.
European Space Agency’s Euclid Mission launched on July 1, 2023 with the help of NASA. And Euclid clicked this image nearly 1 miilion miles away from the Earth.
IC 342 / Hidden Galaxy Information
IC 342 best known as Hidden galaxy is Intermediate Spiral Galaxy. Discovered by W.F. Denning in 1890. Magnitude of 9.1. It appears near the equator of Milky Way Galaxy disk. Which is crowded with thick cosmic gas, dark dust, and glowing stars that all obscure our view. Other names are Caldwell 5, UGC 2847, PGC 13826. It has been studied by scientists even though it is located behind a veil of galactic matter. It has spial arms and are well defined even more fascinating through different wavelengths.

Even though Intermediate Spiral Galaxy it’s seem so similar to our Milky Way Galaxy. NASA wrote in it’s Instagram post caption that,”The spiral galaxy above also known as the “Hidden Galaxy,” is the first of five images released from the Euclid mission. Located about 11 million light-years from Earth, it lies behind a crowd of dust in the Milky Way. Euclid is able to peek through the dust to study it by using a near-infrared instrument. “Euclid’s first images mark the beginning of a new era of studying dark matter and dark energy,” said Mike Seiffert, Euclid project scientist at @NASAJPL. NASA teams will join Euclid scientists to study the dark energy, dark matter and galaxy evolution found in space.”

Image description by NASA in it’s Instagram post,”A big spiral galaxy is visible face-on in white/pink colors at the center of this square astronomical image. The galaxy covers almost the entire image and appears whiter at its center where more stars are located. Its spiral arms stretch out across the image and appear fainter at the edges. The entire image is speckled with stars ranging in color from blue to white to yellow and red, across a black background of space. Blue stars are younger and red stars are older. A few of the stars are a bit larger than the rest, with six diffraction spikes.”

second user said that, Feels more like a Cornetto Icecream Maybe i am just hungry.
Third user said that, It is a wonderful picture. This photo is very complicated. Only NASA can handle the analysis of this picture🔥👍🏻.
Fourth user said that, It is something so beautiful and surprising, sometimes I think that so much beauty is just a point in our long and wide universe, it is simply amazing 🥰💜
Fifth user said that, It’s beautiful and Amazing! 😍 we’re waiting for the NASA Roman Space Telescope launch to discover the secrets of the universe! And see the cooperation of these amazing telescopes! ✨
