Astronomers found hidden water reservoir on Mars in the form of massive ice deposits.

Data revealed that MFF are thicker than previously believed, measuring up to 3.7 km in density.

Greater than fifteen years earlier, the Mars Express spacecraft began a mission to examine the mysterious Medusae Fossae Formation (MFF) externally of Mars.

Ice in the Medusae Fossae Formation might cover Mars in a layer of water that ranges from 1.5 to 2.7 meters in depth

This shows that the largest water reservoir discovered in this region of Mars holding more water than Earth's Red sea.

For future Mars mission, the discovery of ice at equatorial areas like the Medusae Fossae Development is invaluable.

NASA and SpaceX space companies are planning send humans on Mars. This hidden water discovery icy water will help these missions.
